User's Guide

Program & Setup Editors

  1. The lower portion of the VP user interface is active when editing Program and Setup object types (not any other object types).
  2. The central part of the lower half is a collection of tabbed pages showing the various screens associated with the particular object type on a particular Layer (in the case of Program) or Zone (in the case of Setup). The small white F button fetches all screens of the selected Layer/Zone.
  3. To the left of the tabbed section is a screen list. Clicking on a screen name shows that particular screen (on the selected Layer/Zone) and fetches & caches it from the Kurzweil if it has not yet been fetched. The screen name turns to blue to indicate which screens have been cached.
  4. The combo box above the tabbed area allows the user to select the particular Layer/Zone that they wish to view (in the tabbed area). It is augmented with descriptive information as it becomes available.
  5. The set of buttons to the right of the tabbed area allows the user to quickly select the Layer/Zone they wish to view; similar to the combo box but a bit more convenient if you don't need to see the descriptive info found in the combo box.
  6. The list at the far left of the tabbed area lists controls and their destination inputs where they are used throughout the given Layer/Zone. In the case of Setup objects it also lists controls that are driven by particular hardware devices, as configured in the given Zone. (Note that the direction of the arrow is different.)
