VP 0.2.7 Beta
New Features
FEATURE ADDED: Online Help Support
Online Help support is available via convenient access to Kurzweil Help docs. To use this feature, go to the config dialog
(click on the blue VAST logo in the upper left corner) and fill-in the following fields on the Help tab.
These are the locations of the various files on your local hard drive. ZIP file names are listed for K2600. Use the corresponding ZIP files
for other models. (ftp://ftp.youngchang.com/pub/Kurzweil/Pro_Products/)
- User Guide Location - location of the User Guide (a.k.a Musician's Guide, K26PERF.zip)
- Reference Location - location of the Reference manual (a.k.a Musician's Reference, K26REF.zip)
- Supplement Location - location of the User's Guide Supplement (a.k.a Musician's Guide Supplement, K26V2MAN.zip)
- Acrobat Location - download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader
NOTE: You can also find links to manuals for all VAST machines on the Downloads page.
This will enable the following functionality:
- Page button & PAGE Command - Opens help in User Guide for the currently displayed screen (page).
- Guide button - Opens help in User Guide for the currently selected field.
- GUIDE ... command - Opens help in User Guide for any arguments following the Guide keyword (e.g., type "guide Soft Buttons"); same as Guide
button if no args are given.
- R button - Opens help in Reference doc for the currently selected field.
- REF ... command - Opens help in Reference doc for any arguments following the Ref keyword (e.g., type "ref Algorithm 5"); same as R button if no args are given.
- S button - Opens help in Supplement doc for the currently selected field.
- SUP ... command - Opens help in Supplement doc for any arguments following the Sup keyword (E.g., type "sup Algorithm 57"); same as S button if no args are given.
- F1(Help Key) - Initiates Page help.
There is no magic here. As you will see, VP uses the Search mechanism in the Acrobat Reader. I prefer to use "Case-Sensitive" mode in Acrobat,
and turn-off "Search in Bookmarks", but you can do as you please. Experiment to discover how you like to use it.
